You don’t have to be a pushover.

I know I can lack some common sense, but not enough to know when I’m being taken advantage off.  I know sometimes people don’t realize that they’re taking advantage of me, and that’s fair, but what matters more is how I perceive the situation.  

It’s a great feeling knowing that someone appreciates it when I do something nice for them, even with just a simple “Thank You”, but then it reaches that point when I constantly do something for someone, it just becomes expected.  When it reaches that point, I feel down on myself for letting myself become a pushover, but I need to view it from a different perspective. Even though it may seem like I’m being a pushover, being nice is something I like about myself, a quality I like to take pride in.  I like being nice to people and I like it when people know that I’m nice.  (Okay, I can be mean sometimes too, but that’s besides the point lol)  

Therefore, I’m going to keep being nice to people as long as I know when enough is enough.  But as long as people keep viewing me as a nice person, rather than a pushover, and as long as I view myself as a nice person, rather than a pushover, I shall keep doing what I’m doing.  

Through this, I believe I’m striving more to be Christ like.  #wwjd
